Tulum is one of those places that felt like home when I first went a few years back. It’s so easy to instantly fall in love with the little beach strip with its eco-chic boutique hotels and restaurants tucked away into the jungle. I recently had the pleasure of taking a sister’s trip with my one and only and we soaked it all up.
On top of looking amazing, Tulum has got it going on vibe-wise, with it’s healthy food, healers, plant medicine ceremonies, yoga, and environmentally conscious outlook. Be prepared to make lots of magical new friends and feel inspired at every turn.
Every time I’m there I also experience a lesson in letting go. With its sweltering jungle heat, bugs of all sorts, sand everywhere, and intermittent power outages, it teaches me to be in the moment, forget about technology, and appreciate what is in front of me – like the beautiful views and my beautiful sister.
Cozy in our room at Coco Tulum. It’s my go-to place to stay with its cute little white-washed, sunlight soaked cabanas.
Views at Coco. Like many places in Tulum, they rely on wind power to generate electricity.
Wide awake before the sun.
En-route to our sister’s date at our favorite vegan dinner spot.
Some of the best meals I’ve ever had are at Restaurare. It’s cozily set up among the palm trees in the jungle, with candlelight and strong incense everywhere to keep those mosquitoes away.
Our spread at Restaurare. Try the vegan Pibil Tacos.
My sister is a legit animal whisperer. Here she is making friends with Poncho the donkey.

Raw Love is by far my favorite place to eat in Tulum during the day. Everything is made with the freshest raw ingredients and such attention to detail. A foodie’s paradise for sure!
